Format of Super 16:

In the Round of 16 and subsequent stages of the single-game knockout stages, the top two teams from each group will face off against one another (the remaining 16 teams). While the loser is eliminated, the winner advances. During the elimination round, there must be a winner in every match. This concludes the knockout round of matches. In the event that a game is tied at the end of 90 minutes of play, extra time will be played. After two 15-minute periods with equal scores, the game will be decided by a penalty shootout.
